How does the Viasomatic Method work?
The Viasomatic Method uses yoga-based movements and breathwork that mirror defensive stress responses to help you complete the stress cycle and bring your nervous system back into balance. It trains your nervous system to handle stress actively and build resilience, which leads to better mental health.
This method takes a bottom-up approach, working with signals from your body (via interoception) to influence your brain. The Viasomatic Method helps your body and brain sync up, giving you the tools to move through stress responses—whether they’re big or small—and find your equilibrium.
Doesn't stress resolve naturally in the body?
What are the benefits of the Viasomatic Method?
Stress Management
Viasomatic is all about moving with your body’s stress response. You’ll learn to spot your stress patterns and shift your patterns in real time.
Emotional RegulationHandle emotions like a pro. Viasomatic gives you body-based tools to self-soothe and turn those feels into growth and compassion by making your nervous system your ally.
Self-AgencyRecognize triggers and respond intentionally instead of reacting on autopilot. Viasomatic helps you keep your cool and use your full brain power (shoutout to the prefrontal cortex) to handle life in a way that aligns with your goals and values.
Physical RelaxationRelease stuck tension and find ease in your body. Our approach to stress recovery helps you actually feel relaxed.
Better SleepStress wrecks sleep, but completing the stress cycle helps you get back to deep, restorative Z’s, supporting your body’s recovery, immunity, and hormone balance.
Long-Term Coping StrategiesViasomatic gives you stress-management tools you can keep using forever.
Better RelationshipsWhen you can regulate your own nervous system, it’s easier to connect, communicate, and thrive in your relationships. Or as one client put it, “Viasomatic helps me human better.”
Why We Do What We Do...
It is continuously a process, but learning how to reconnect with my nervous system in moments of distress has allowed stress to move through me instead of remaining stuck in my shoulders, hips, or back of the heart. Engaging with my body through the lens of the nervous system and working with Jenn from Viasomatic has completely shifted my awareness of how I respond to stress, triggers and process complex emotions.
Doing this work literally saved my life! I became equipped with tools to bring myself back to center when things feel out of control and my whole life transformed. Scary episodes began to disappear altogether as I developed an inner knowing that whatever happens, I know how to handle it.
I have never experienced anything like that before.
As an emergency physician, I appreciate knowing that Viasomatic is a tool that I can provide to patients who are experiencing crises that are not well-treated by medications or missed by many of our diagnostic tools. It has eased my conscience to be able to provide options other than pharmaceuticals or traditional counseling for people who feel out of control due to life stresses, chronic pain, and trauma.
I have worked with Jenn personally as a client and I have been consistently struck by her breadth of knowledge, her caring, and her perceptiveness about the sources of people's trauma and pain. I will continue to use the techniques she taught me to calm my own nervous system, and I will continue to recommend her work to my patients and my family without reservation.

Jenn Wooten
Welcome to Viasomatic! I’m a certified yoga therapist, nervous system coach, trauma-informed educator, and founder of Viasomatic. I specialize in nervous system health and recovery from stress and trauma. Over the years, I’ve worked with Olympic athletes, medical professionals, energy healers, mental health specialists, and individuals navigating complex trauma and chronic illness to help them find balance and resilience in their nervous systems.
What I really care about is helping you learn how to self-regulate, build resilience, release chronic stress, and restore balance in a way that makes sense for your life.
After years of diving deep into somatic practices, I realized that trauma is an inseparable part of working with the body. That understanding led me to study the nervous system and trauma-informed approaches with Somatic Experiencing teachers Kathy Kain and Steve Terrell. These teachings allowed me to bring a clinician’s perspective to my work as a yoga therapist, blending somatic wisdom with a trauma-informed lens.
Now, with 20+ years of professional experience, my work focuses on teaching somatic practitioners, mental health specialists, and medical professionals how to use movement to support recovery from stress, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation. Through Viasomatic, I share tools that have transformed my own life, offering accessible ways to regulate your nervous system, manage anxiety, and recover from trauma.
I know life isn’t easy—no one gets through without challenges. But here’s the thing: your nervous system can be your biggest ally. I do this work because I believe in the power of post-traumatic growth—the ability to come out stronger, more resilient, and more aligned with who you are after life’s upheavals.
