Break Through Your Freeze

In the freeze response, your nervous system is pushing both the gas and the brakes at the same time. This response immobilizes us in the short term to survive the threat without escalation and to escape to safety when the coast is clear. While this short-term protection is beneficial, it can cause anxiety and long-term dysfunction if we do not complete the stress response.

Your Self-Paced Mat Program helps you:
  • Learn to self-regulate and increase vagal tone
  • Build capacity to recognize and respond to your stress state
  • Complete a stress response
  • Bring your body into deep rest that supports metabolic renewal
This program is done from both a chair and a yoga mat (if you can't come to the ground please see our chair accessible program).

Meet the yoga therapist

Jenn Wooten (she/her)

Hello and welcome! I am a certified yoga therapist, trauma-informed yoga teacher and teacher trainer, and the founder of Viasomatic. I've spent 30 years studying holistic, mind-body, and somatic practices for trauma healing and nervous system resilience.

Now, my work now is primarily guiding yoga teachers and mental health professionals to use movement for recovery from trauma and post-traumatic stress. Through this platform, we offer effective tools regulating the nervous system and recovering from stress, anxiety and trauma - tools which have enhanced my own well-being in immeasurable ways.

I believe in this work to empower you to take an active role in your well-being, foster personal agency, and create post-traumatic growth. I am committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive space, where you can explore the transformative power of yoga therapy.
